Among the places worth visiting are the roman ruins of Itálica in the area of Aljarafe and Santiponce. Just outside Sevilla is Camona, a cute small town, home to a roman necropolis and a picturesque center. Also you can visit Ecija, the "city of towers", or the town of Alcala de Guadaira where there is a castle with 11 towers, eight dolomites and beautiful pine trees.
A little further away is Jaén, known for its olive oils; Jerez de la Frontera, home to the world famous riding school: Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Art, and known for its sherry and the bodegas; and the coastal town of Cádiz, the oldest continuously inhabited city in the Iberian Peninsula and possibly of all southwestern Europe.
If you want to rent a car in Sevilla, or anywhere ells, compare prices from different rental companies. This is best done through the internet, also investigate any special deals the company may offer. If you book at your destination you may often be able to negotiate the price.
